Course: HRM4122
Human resources professionals must navigate complex workplace dynamics in unionized environments. Understanding these principles is essential for HR professionals navigating legal, strategic, and interpersonal challenges. Students explore the history of unions, current labour trends and the legal processes behind certification and collective bargaining. Students explore labour relations strategies in unionized environments with an emphasis on communication, conflict resolution and legal compliance. Through case studies and practical exercises, students apply negotiation, grievance-handling and employee relations procedures to support fair and legally sound practices across diverse organizational settings.
